Interior Painting on Long Island

A fresh interior paint job is the fastest way to make a home feel new again — but only when the prep is done right. For 40 years Schmidt Painting has repainted living rooms, kitchens, bedrooms and whole houses in Syosset, eastern Nassau County, and Suffolk County: furniture protected, holes spackled, surfaces prepared with Festool dust-extraction sanding where appropriate, and lines cut clean. Every job is supervised from start to finish.

Common Questions

Straight answers, the same as you'd get on the phone.

How much does interior painting cost on Long Island?

It depends on the size of the rooms, the condition of the walls and the amount of trim work. We provide written estimates with honest, upfront pricing — no pressure and no surprises. Call (631) 732-6954 or use the estimate form to request yours.

Do I need to move my furniture before you paint?

Yes — per our contract, moving furniture is the homeowner's responsibility, so please have rooms cleared or pieces pulled away from the walls before we arrive. Our crew covers and protects everything that stays, along with your floors.

What kind of paint do you use?

Premium latex, oil base, modified oil and acrylic products, matched to each surface. We apply the finish you choose — flat, matte, eggshell, satin or semi-gloss — in the colors you pick.

How do you control sanding dust inside the home?

We use Festool sanding equipment connected to dust extraction where appropriate. It captures dust at the tool and helps keep work areas cleaner, although no sanding method is completely dust-free.
